FLAGS FOR NEVADA BOARD MEMBERS

Ted Farace, President & Treasurer

In 1964, Mr. Farace became a member of the New York City Police Department and in 1969 was promoted from Police Officer to Detective 3rd grade. His last assignment was with the NYPD/FBI Joint Bank Robbery Task Force. He was promoted again to second grade Detective and retired honorably in August 1987 after 23 years of service.

After his retirement in 1987, he immediately joined the Security Department of the investment bank, JP Morgan as the Director of Global Corporate Security. Mr. Farace was promoted to Managing Director in 1989. Mr. Farace retired in 2001 and relocate to Las Vegas.

After the attack on our country on September 11, 2001, Mr. Farace formed a non-for-profit all former law enforcement member organization, funded by the State of Nevada, Department of Public Safety, The Volunteer Homeland Reserve Unit (VHRU). Its mission, was to support local law enforcement agencies in southern Nevada. The organization was closed in 2017, due to members unable to continue to volunteer (www.vhru.com ).

In 2005, Mr. Farace formed Elite Security Specialists, LLC. and most recently in May 2018, founded the first Security Guard Training Academy in the State of Nevada, which was licensed by the Commission on Postsecondary Education, the "Nevada Security Guard Training Academy". d/b/a Nevada Security Consultants (www.nsgta.com)

In 2022, after 18 years, Mr. Farace sold his security company to now focus on training and consulting work. He founded the Nevada Security Consultants in early 2023, which is license by the Private Investigators’ Licensing Board, license # 4089

In August of 2023 he founded the “Flags for Nevada”, a Nevada nonprofit Corporation to offer American Flags for the homeowners in his community, Siena.

Chris Palma, Vice President

In 1988 to 1992, Mr. Palma was a member of the Unites States Air Force assigned to the Security Police. Upon leaving the service, he attended college and in 1994 joined the Nevada Department of Public Safety, Highway Patrol Division as a State Trooper. Mr. Palma retired in 2017 honorably after 23 years of police service.

In 2017, for a brief period. Mr. Palma joined the Westgate Corporation as the Security Director for the Westgate Hotel property in Las Vegas.

Mr. Palma received his Bachelor of Science, Columbia Southern University in 2002. His major was Business Administration. In 2003 he obtained his Master of Business Administration at Columbia Southern University and in 2016 a Master of Science, majoring in Public Safety/Emergency Management at Capella University.

In May of 2018, Mr. Palma joined the Nevada Security Guard Training Academy as their Director.

In August of 2023, Mr. Palma took a non-salaried position as Vice President of the “Flags for Nevada”, a Nevada nonprofit corporation.

Tom Whisenhunt, Secretary

William Tom Whisenhunt, B.S., B.S., Jurist Doctor, has 48 years of broad-based law enforcement experience including 20 years with a major law enforcement agency in Southern California, 40 years as an attorney including 20 years as a felony prosecutor, police defense litigation specialist in both State and Federal Court and 8 years as a college professor.

Mr. Whisenhunt taught criminal justice and related subjects at Nevada State College, CSN, Las Vegas, Fullerton College, CA and the LA Police Department Academy as well as the Dallas County Sheriff's Academy in Texas.

Mr. Whisenhunt became an instructor back in 2019 for the Nevada Security Guard Training Academy.

In August of 2023 he took a non-salaried position as Secretary for the “Flags for Nevada” a Nevada nonprofit corporation.
