FLAGS FOR NEVADA

As a longtime resident of Siena, respect for America has been declining over the past few years. Kneeling for the National Anthem, not placing your hand over your heart when the National Anthem is played, and so forth.

Most Americans are fed up with this behavior. It is time to support for the Flag and respect our great country. The Flags for Nevada, nonprofit corporation was formed with this intent.

Flags for Nevada is offering an American Flag to Siena residents under our program “Flags for Siena.”  A quality American flag will be installed on the homes of those who wish to participate. This will include the flagpole, bracket, and we will paint that bracket to match the color of the home as per the Siena CCR’s. Homeowners that participate in our program will need to furnish the outside paint, which we all have for our homes.

American Flags can be flown 24 hours a day 7 days a week once installed near the coach lights (lighting on the Flag is required to be flown at night) or another location, as requested. There is no maintenance required once installed. We realize homeowners are older and cannot use ladders or able to hang the flag. Any issues, we are available to assist the homeowner.

If any homeowner has an old flag, it will be collected and properly disposed of it during the annual Flag Retirement Ceremony held in Siena and other locations in the valley.

Flags will be inspected annually and if any needs to be replace, Flags for Nevada will provide a new flag at a discount price, which includes the installation and disposal of the old flag.

The Siena Military Veterans Organization (club) supports this program and three of those Board members have agreed to be the Advisory Board of the Flags for Nevada corporation.

Our community will become a showplace for other Associations in Nevada. Others may wish to follow our lead and to institute the same program.
